John McLean combines thirty years of pastoral ministry with twenty years of teaching biblical and theological studies at numerous Christian post-secondary schools. He served as Commissioner on the Board of the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools, in addition to his work with Heritage College and Seminary, since 2001. John has been the Senior Pastor of Berean Bible Church since 1999. John has a passion for Bible exposition and application of biblical truth to one's everyday life, both of which are demonstrated through his preaching and involvement as the director of distance education for Heritage College and Seminary. John and his wife Diana have four children.

grew up in Japan where his parents were missionaries. While in
Japan he learned to speak Japanese fluently and picked up the game
of soccer. He spent his high school years in the Philippines
attending Faith Academy, a missionary kid’s boarding school.
During his senior year of High School, Ben felt God’s call to
ministry, and chose to attend Moody Bible Institute in Chicago.
He graduated in 2002 with a B.A. in youth ministry and theology.
While at Moody, he met his lovely wife to be, Amanda, and was
married in the Fall of 2002. Ben and Amanda are proud parents of
their daughters Selah and Kaiyah.
Ben became the associate pastor of Berean Bible Church in the summer of 2005. He has a passion for building community and discipleship within Berean through small groups. He is passionate about helping youth as they navigate through the difficult and formative teen years. He seeks to help teens experience a personal relationship with God in which they take an active role in pursuing this relationship.
